Principal’s Corner

Dear ASCE Families,

It is going to be a very exciting week at All Saints next week! Catholic Schools Week begins Sunday and we have several fun events planned for our students. Please see the attached schedule. Monday begins our school wide service project where we are collecting needed items for the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, please see the attached flyer. Thank you to our Home and School for sponsoring the science day on Monday, we are looking forward to having the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum come to our school!
Thursday, we will celebrate mass together with the MS/HS and on Friday I have a wonderful retreat planned for the students. The 11th grade students will join us and will direct the activity stations the elementary students will rotate through. We will wrap up our Catholic Schools Celebration with our family dance at Our Lady of Czestochowa, St. Stans Parish Hall, from 6:00pm—8:00pm.
Our 3rd—5th grade students have the opportunity to run for the newly formed student council. Students who are interested had to have their form into the office today. Campaigning will begin on Monday (1/30) and continue through Tuesday (2/7). Candidates will present their speeches on both Tuesday (2/7) and Wednesday (2/8). Elections will take place on Thursday (2/9). Good luck to all our candidates!
We are planning a visit from Mrs. Kristin Rivet, State Senator for the 35th district. She will share with our 3rd—5th grade students what it means to be a representative for the people of the 35th district. Watch for communication regarding the day and time of the visit.
This upcoming week will be a very exciting week for our students and we are grateful we can celebrate the beauty of being a Catholic school!

Many Blessings,
Mrs. Rhodus

Prayer

O Christ Jesus, You are our savior, the way to our heavenly Father, You are the truth we live by, and You are the life everlasting we anticipate. We believe in You, who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Virtue of the Week

During morning prayer on Monday, January 30 we will introduce the virtue: Moderation
Moderation is attention to balance in one’s life. Such as, taking the time to exercise, not spending too much time watching tv or playing video games. Moderation is also taking time to work on homework, taking time to do your chores, and only taking one cookie, not the entire plate of cookies.

Dear Jesus, help me to keep a balance in my life, using created things properly and in the right amount that is best for me. I need Your help to set limits for myself in doing things that I enjoy, such as using video games, playing outside, eating, and using my phone. Lead me in Your way to happiness!

All Saints Catholic Elementary School Mission Statement

All Saints Catholic nurtures academic and personal excellence in all students while emphasizing Catholic values and service to others in Christ’s name.

Parish Info and Mass Opportunities

With the decline of young families attending church and with so much evil and hate in this world today, we need God now more than ever. It is our responsibility as Catholics to go to church weekly. By doing so, we set good examples for our children and do our part to lead them in the direction of Christ our Savior. Attending church as a family is so important and rewarding. It helps to create a special bond between you and God and between your family members. Children need to know and understand the importance of going to church consistently and having a relationship with God. There are many Mass options to accommodate busy lifestyles. So please take a little time out of your busy lives each week to grow closer to God and to enjoy Mass as a family.
