Little Cougar News

Principal’s Corner

Thank you so much for all who donated to our Thanksgiving food drive, as a school we brought in over 1,600 cans of food! We are so thankful for the generosity of our school families and are happy to know we are helping families in need!

This Saturday, our GOTR have their 5k race in Saginaw beginning near the Castle Museum and ending near the Saginaw Zoo. The race begins at 10:00am. Wishing our girls the best of luck, GO GOTR!

With Thanksgiving this Thursday, let us be reminded of all the blessings we have in our lives. We are so thankful that you are a part of our ASC family! Wishing you a wonderful and blessed holiday!

Many Blessings,
Mrs. Rhodus

Prayer

Loving God, we thank You for all that You provided for us. We are grateful for all the loved ones in our lives now, and those who have gone before us. You nurture us in so many ways. May we always remember to praise You and love others as You love us. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Virtue of the Week

During morning prayer on Monday, November 21 we will introduce the virtue: Generosity
Giving of oneself in a willing and cheerful manner for the good of others, such as spending time with someone, sharing with someone, thinking of others first and giving your life to God.
Dear Jesus, let me share myself with others as You share Your life with me.

Virtus Training

There is an upcoming Virtus Training on Monday, December 12, 2022. If you are needing recertification or wish to become a volunteer, please join the training. You can register for it online at www.saginaw.org.

Toy Drive

Thank you to everyone who donated to the GOTR toy drive. Check out a picture of the GOTR with the toys they collected!

Pam’s Pantry

Pam’s Pantry is coming soon! These seasoning packets make great gifts and delicious dips for the Christmastime! This amazing fundraiser gives back 50% of sales to our school! More information will be sent out in the near future.

Cold Weather

Please be sure your child(ren) is prepared everyday with the appropriate clothing for outside temperatures; coats, gloves, hats, boots and snow pants. The students go outside daily for recess and/or gym. They are outside unless it is raining or the “feels like” temperature is below 10 degrees. If you are in need of any of these items please contact the school office.

Snow Boots and Pants

We are in need of new or gently used snow boots and snow pants. If your child has outgrown theirs, please consider donating them to us. It would benefit a number of students who do not have those items for recess. Any and all donations a greatly appreciated.

Baptism

Congratulations to Scarlet Oros who celebrated her baptism during our school mass this Thursday. Congratulations Scarlet, we are so happy we could celebrate this wonderful day with you!

Congratulations to Lucus Bartkowiak, Persephone Douglas, and Chloe Huebner for making their First Reconciliation this past Sunday.

All Saints Catholic Elementary Mission Statement

All Saints Catholic nurtures academic and personal excellence in all students while emphasizing Catholic values and service to others in Christ’s name.

Parish Info and Mass Opportunities

With the decline of young families attending church and with so much evil and hate in this world today, we need God now more than ever. It is our responsibility as Catholics to go to church weekly. By doing so, we set good examples for our children and do our part to lead them in the direction of Christ our savior. Attending church as a family is so important and rewarding. It helps to create a special bond between you and God and between your family members. Children need to know and understand the importance of going to church consistently and having a relationship with God. There are many mass options to accommodate busy lifestyles. So please take a little time out of your busy lives each week to grow closer to God and to enjoy mass as a family.
