Middle school involves a lot of growing up; young students are mastering many academic and social skills and are working to deepen their faith as they balance social and academic pursuits. In grades 6-8, All Saints Catholic teachers and staff are focused on supporting students as they grow to become more engaged and disciplined learners.
Growth and Relationship-building
Building relationships is important at any age, but especially vital to middle schoolers, who discover their passions, define their friend groups, and solidify their academic and extracurricular interests at this stage. In grades 5-8, All Saints Catholic teachers and staff guide students as they navigate the uncertain and exciting pathways of middle school.
Gaining Independence
Your student may be the independent type — one who completes their homework without being told and signs up for extracurriculars on their own — or may be the opposite — one who prefers close guidance and support from home. No matter the student, ASC guides them in discovering and setting boundaries and learning strategies for success as an individual.
Events & Retreats
In grades 6-8, it’s exciting to encounter the world around you in new ways! At All Saints Catholic, we encourage students to participate in school-led events and retreats that help students discover their passions, strengthen their faith, or gain independence. Especially for new students, safe, guided events can help middle schoolers make friends and build confidence at school.
Preparing for High School
It may be hard to believe, but high school is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Throughout middle school, staff, teachers, and leadership work to build a solid foundation for personal success at the high school level. During these years, educators work to deepen student knowledge, guide and prepare students for standardized testing, and equip students with tools for academic study and mastery. Students naturally question their beliefs during these years, and All Saints Catholic helps them answer questions regarding faith, family, and other foundational aspects of being a teen in the 21st century.
