Greek Festival in Saginaw at the St. Demetrious Greek Orthodox Church, 4970 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603.
On Friday and Saturday, the time to volunteer at this event is 12 pm – 11 pm, and on Sunday, from 12 pm – 4 pm. They ask that you wear an All Saints Catholic School shirt. This volunteer opportunity can count towards your volunteer hours required for graduation.
The contact is David, and his contact information is Dpnichol@svsu.edu. Please make sure to have David sign that you were there and volunteered, then bring the sheet back to Mrs. Satkowiak in the fall. Just a reminder that you need 100 volunteer hours to graduate.
We were honored to welcome back Dean Lockwood, an All Saints alumni and Director of Player Development for the Michigan State Women’s Basketball team. Coach Lockwood shared an inspiring message with our students about faith, character, discipline, and perseverance.
Coach Lockwood reminded our students that while “glory fades, being a good person doesn’t.” He spoke about resilience through life’s challenges, the importance of discipline over regret, and how attitude and effort are two things we can always control. His message encouraged students to work hard, prepare well, never fear failure, and always strive to leave a place better than they found it.
He also challenged students to discover the gifts God has given them, continue learning and growing throughout life, and use their talents to serve others. Through every success and hardship in his life, Coach Lockwood shared that the foundation of faith he received at All Saints has remained his rock for more than 58 years.
We are so grateful for alumni like Coach Lockwood who return to share their wisdom, experiences, and encouragement with the next generation. Thank you for reminding our students that character, faith, kindness, courage, and integrity never go out of style. Unlike his bell bottom basketball warm up gear he brought back to show the students from his graduation year.
We are proud of our All Saints students who attend the Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center and are being recognized for their hard work and dedication through awards from SkillsUSA, DECA Inc., and Business Professionals of America!
Through this partnership, our students are gaining valuable hands-on experience, leadership opportunities, and real-world career skills that will help prepare them for their futures. Whether they are learning technical trades, business skills, healthcare pathways, or leadership development, these experiences allow them to grow both academically and personally.
At All Saints, we are grateful to provide opportunities that encourage students to use their God-given talents while living out our Catholic values of service, integrity, compassion, and excellence. We are proud to see our students representing our school community with professionalism, faith, and dedication both in the classroom and beyond.
Congratulations to all of our students on their accomplishments, we can’t wait to see all they continue to achieve!

We are very excited to share that our 8-11th grade band has been invited to perform the National Anthem at the Loons baseball game on Tuesday, April 28th.
Tickets: If purchasing a ticket in advance, tickets will be available at Will Call. Our section is 112, and the group rate is $12.50 per ticket. Or you can purchase a $9.00 lawn seat.
Arrival & Performance Time: The National Anthem performance is scheduled for approximately 6:00 PM. Call time for students to arrive at Dow Diamond is by 5:00 PM with their music, instruments, and any other necessary items for load-in and security check-in. Parents are responsible for transporting students and their respective instruments to and from the stadium (just like we did for Saginaw Spirit).
Unloading & Check-In: • Please pull up to the back gate to unload instruments (see attached image for exact location marked by a red arrow). • After unloading, enter through the doors to the right of the gate. • After everyone has arrived, Mr. R will check in and inform staff that we are ready to check in with security together as a group. • All students must be checked in, with waivers signed, at least 30 minutes prior to first pitch (waiver sheet is attached).
Instrument Storage: There will be a designated area underneath the stadium where students can store instrument cases during the performance. Students should plan to carry their instruments from the car into the stadium.
Warm-Up: After check-in, a member of the Loons “Fun Flock” will escort students beneath the stadium bowl, where there will be space available to warm up before the performance.
Additional Information:
*** Attire for this event will be the light blue All Saints Band t shirt that was given out last year, or an ASC top with khaki or jean shorts.
• This is an outdoor event. Students should eat something before arriving so no one feels lightheaded or unwell before or during the performance. • Please consider bringing sunscreen in case of hot, sunny weather. • Tuesday, April 28th is Two-Fer Tuesday, featuring select concession items available for purchase. • Dow Diamond is a cashless facility. A reverse ATM is available on site, which converts cash into a prepaid Visa gift card for use throughout the ballpark.
