Principal’s Corner
Dear ASCE Families,
Thank you so much to all families who spoke at church and handed out invitations to our Open House, we had a wonderful turnout! The following families participated in either speaking at church or handing out invitations; Barrigar Family, Bartkowiak Family, Brzezinski Family, Costilla Family, Covyeou Family, DiRusso Family, Dzurka Family, Grudzinski Family, Guzman Family, Huebner Family, Jarvis Family, Piajaszek Family, Rhodus Family, and Werner Family, thank you!
Our student council worked hard last Sunday to decorate the school for St. Patrick’s Day. They put together a beautiful balloon arch (thank you Ritter family) and hung up decorations to make St. Patrick’s Day a special week for our students. Thank you to our student council!
The St . Patrick’s Day Parade is this Sunday and we will have a float in the parade for any student who would like to join. Our position (line up number) is 4, we will be close to Center and Wells Ct. If your child(ren) would like to participate and ride on our float, they must be there between 1:00– 1:30PM. If you arrive after 1:30pm, you might be turned away. The parade will begin at 2:00pm. You will have to check your child(ren) in with the adults chaperoning. You will sign your child(ren) in upon arrival and sign your child(ren) out at pick up. Pick up will be located on 6th St., past the Double Tree. Any child(ren) riding in the parade need to use the restroom prior to being checked in. We will not be taking a restroom break. Students in the elementary school must ride on the float if they are checked in to be part of the ASCE parade float. Don’t forget to dress for the weather and of course wear your St. Patty’s attire!!
Many Blessings,
Mrs. Rhodus
Prayer
O Jesus, Light of the World, help us to be a light in the darkness. May we be a healing presence to those who are in pain and who are suffering. Who live and reign with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.
Hardensen, Karla. (1991). Children’s Daily Prayer. Liturgy Training Publications.
Virtue of the Week
During morning prayer on Monday, March 20, we will introduce Prayerfulness
Prayerfulness is being still, listening, and being willing to talk to God as a Friend. Prayerfulness looks like making the sign of the cross slowly and deliberately, focusing on Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and while at church singing with your heart.
Dear Jesus, I desire to have You as my best friend. Give me a desire to spend time with You each day, as I do with my friends. Help me always to put You first I my life, even when I am busy.

Parish Info and Mass Opportunities
With the decline of young families attending church and with so much evil and hate in this world today, we need God now more than ever. It is our responsibility as Catholics to go to church weekly. By doing so, we set good examples for our children and do our part to lead them in the direction of Christ our Savior. Attending church as a family is so important and rewarding. It helps to create a special bond between you and God and between your family members. Children need to know and understand the importance of going to church consistently and having a relationship with God. There are many Mass options to accommodate busy lifestyles. So please take a little time out of your busy lives each week to grow closer to God and to enjoy Mass as a family.
